Benaulim, Goa 29 November 2022 (CCBI): The CCBI accorded affectionate farewell to Fr. Milton Gabriel Gonsalves the outgoing Executive Secretary of the Commission for Family at Shanti Sadan, Benaulim, Goa on Tuesday 29 November 2022. His Eminence Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrão, the President of the CCBI and the Archbishop of Goa and Daman honoured Fr. Milton with Indian shawl and gifted him the wooden statute of St. Anthony, his patron saint. Cardinal Filipe thanked Fr. Milton for his meritorious service to the Church in India for eight years (18 November 2014 to 29 November 2022). The Deputy Secretary General, Rev. Dr. Stephen Alathara handed over the memento.
Fr. Arul Raj Gali, CSC the newly appointed Executive Secretary to the Commission for Family was warmly welcomed by Cardinal Filipe Neri. Cardinal Filipe led the installation prayer service which was attended by the invited special guests. During the prayer service Fr Arul recited the prayer of promise and took charge as the Executive Secretary to the CCBI Commission for Family. Fr. Lucio Dias, Parish Priest, St. John Baptist Church, Benaulim, Fr. Shiju Joseph, C.S.C., Director, Peyton Institute for Families, Bangalore and Sr. Fatima Dias, FHIC, Superior, Divine Providence Convent, Benaulim and the special invitees were attended the farewell gathering.
