CCBI General Secretariat, New Delhi
The CCBI General Secretariat is located in New Delhi, the capital of India. The Deputy Secretary General resides at the General Secretariat and coordinates the ministries of the 16 Commissions, 4 Apostolates, and 7 Departments of the CCBI.
The first CCBI Secretariat was established in Goa in 1988. It was then shifted to Delhi in 1992. In Delhi, it functioned from the CCBI Secretariat in Pitampura (1992–1993), and later from the Archbishop’s House, Delhi (1994–1995). In 1995, the CCBI established its first independent Secretariat at 9-10, Bhai Vir Singh Marg, New Delhi – 110001.
The CCBI General Secretariat building was originally blessed by His Excellency George Zur, Apostolic Nuncio to India and Nepal, and inaugurated by His Eminence Simon Cardinal Pimenta, President of the CCBI, on March 31, 1995. Later, on June 3, 2025, the building was renovated and blessed by Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão, the President of the CCBI.
The CCBI Centre in Bangalore was inaugurated on 14 September 2002, as the Secretariat for the Commissions for Bible, Catechetics, and Liturgy. In 2003, the Deputy Secretary General shifted his office from Delhi to Bangalore. Later, on June 3, 2025, the Office of the Deputy Secretary General was shifted back to New Delhi.

Shanti Sadan is the CCBI Secretariat Extension in Benaulim, Goa, it was inaugurated on 06 January, 2020. Three of the CCBI Commission Secretaries are operating from Shanti Sadan. The building was constructed by FABC in 2003 for the Commission for Evangelization. The FABC closed its office in Goa and the CCBI bought it on 16 December, 2018. The CCBI renovated the building and constructed a chapel and conference hall.

Suvarta Kendra is the Secretariat for the CCBI’s Commission for Proclamation, has moved from its original location in Pachmarhi (established 2011) to Seva Sadan, Bhopal. This relocation, effective July 2024, follows a period of prayer and discernment by the CCBI Executive Committee. The centre remains dedicated to promoting evangelization and providing ongoing animation and formation for the Church in India.

Bethania is the Secretariat of the CCBI Youth Commission and the ICYM and YCS/YSM also operate from Bethania. It was inaugurated on 13 September, 2019. The property and building of Bethania belong to the Archdiocese of Delhi.

The Migrant Commission of the CCBI was established on 2 May, 2017. Its first Secretariat was blessed on 16 April, 2020 at New Delhi. The Commission is trying to implement the four objectives namely welcoming, protecting, promoting and integrating internally displaced persons in our country.

The Pontifical Mission Organisations (PMO) is the name given to a group of Catholic missionary societies that are under the canonical jurisdiction of the Bishop of Rome. In India PMO operates under the guidance and direction of the CCBI. The PMO organizations include: (1) The Society for the Propagation of the Faith, (2) The Society of St. Peter the Apostle, (3) Holy Childhood Association and (4) Missionary Union of Priests and Religious. Currently the National Director resides and operates from the PMO Secretariat.
