Farewell to Fr. Panneer Selvam

Pachmarhi 2 July 2022 (CCBI): The CCBI accorded affectionate farewell to Fr. Panneer Selvam the outgoing Executive Secretary of the Commission for Proclamation at Suvarta Kendra, Pachmarhi in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday 2 July, 2022. Most Rev. Raphy Manjaly the Chairman of the CCBI Commission for Proclamation and the Archbishop of Agra honoured Fr. Panneer with Indian shawl and gifted him the wooden statute of St. Francis Assisi, his patron saint as a memento. Archbishop Raphy Thanked Fr. Panneer for his meritorious service to the Church in India from 2014 to 2022.

Fr. Ambrose Pitchaimuthu the newly appointed Executive Secretary to the Commission for Proclamation and Fr. Raju Mathew the Associate Executive Secretary of the Commission and the Director of Suvarta Kendra were warmly welcomed. Abp. Raphy was the main celebrant of the solemn thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration held the chapel of the Suvarta Kendra, which was attended by the members of all religious communities in Satpura Hills and invited special guests.

After the Holy Mass the newly appointed CCBI Officials, Fr. Ambrose and Fr. Raju Mathew were recited the prayer of promise and took charge in their respective offices. In the farewell gathering Rev. Dr. Stephen Alathara, Deputy Secretary General, CCBI; Rev. Fr Guissepe De Nardi, Superior General, Koinonia Community and Rev. Fr. Antony Rufus, Assistant Director Suvarta Kendra were delivered felicitation messages.
